Above The Rim is a 1994 sports film about a promising high school basketball star Kyle-Lee Watson, and his relationships with Birdie played by Tupac Shakur a powerful drug dealer, and Birdie's brother, Thomas 'Shep' Sheppard, himself once a promising high school star at Kyle's school, now employed as a security guard. Starring Tupac Shakur, Duane Martin, Leon and Marlon Wayans.
DESIGN
Inspiration for creating this poster came from my interest in the film and minimalist poster design. The 1994 film Above The Rim takes place in New York City. I wanted to create a silhouette of the city that is shown in the original poster. The razor blade represents the infamous scene between Birdie(played by Shakur) and Shep (played by Leon).
